ItemImageAutoRuns - This utility, which has the most comprehensive knowledge of auto-starting locations of any startup monitor, shows you what programs are configured to run during system bootup or login, and shows you the entries in the order Windows processes them. These programs include ones in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other Registry keys.

ItemImageBlackLight RootKit Remover - What is a rootkit?  Rootkits for Windows are typically used to hide malicious software from for example an antivirus scanner. Rootkits are typically not malicious by themselves but are used for malicious purposes by viruses, worms, backdoors and spyware. A virus combined with a rootkit produces what was known as full stealth viruses in the MS-DOS environment. F-Secures Blacklight product can help you find and eliminate this form of malware.

ItemImageMicrosoft Security Baseline Analyzer - In response to direct customer feedback for a standalone security update and vulnerability assessment tool to identify common security mis-configurations, Microsoft has created and made available a security baseline analyzer tool that is free to all consumers with a valid Windows operating system license.

ItemImageSecuniaPSI - Personal Software Inspector - To help you secure your computer from software vulnerabilities, Secunia offers you this free software.  It will scan your computer for installed software and determine if any applications lack security updates.

ItemImageThreatFire - ThreatFire continually protects your PC against attacks by detecting malicious behavior, such as capturing your keystrokes or stealing your data, instead of only looking for known threats like normal antivirus software. It does this by implementing sophisticated real-time behavioral analysis.  It works alongside your current security programs - there is no need to uninstall your antivirus, anti-spyware, firewall or other security program before installing ThreatFire.

ItemImageValidating Windows Application Files - This is a comprehensive list of valid program files used on the Microsoft Windows platform. When used in conjunction with “AutoRuns” or “Whats Running” tools above can help to identify a file(s) that are suspicious and serve no legitimate purpose.

ItemImage What's Running - What's Running is a product that gives you an inside look into your Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista system. Explore processes, services, modules, IP-connections, drivers and much more through a simple to use application.  What's Running is FREE for personal use. If you want to use it in a commercial environment or for commercial purposes, you have to buy a license for commercial use.
