How to Program Your Remote Control

  • When programming, press buttons firmly and in a timely manner.
  • When trying to operate, be sure to first touch the correct device button.
  • If light does not flash, or intermittent operation occurs, change the batteries.
  • After the remote programming is complete, record the codes for future reference.
  • If range or intermittent operation occurs, weak batteries may be at fault.
  • Some remotes will not work for all brands of equipment.
  • Aim the remote at the device you wish to operate and be sure nothing is blocking the front of the remote.
  • If published codes do not work, use the search mode. Refer to operating instructions guide for the specific remote in question.

Scientific Atlanta Explorer 2000
  • Press and hold device and "select" buttons at the same time (until indicator light flashes twice)
  • Enter 3 digit code
  • Press Device key
  • If it does not work, repeat with next code
    Explorer 2000 code = 891
    Volume code = 993
    Search Mode code = 991
    Retrieve Search code = 990

**Hint: The remote is setup to work the volume on the TV. Please be advised you must program remote for TV or change volume on remote to work cable box.

Atlas 5-Device Universal Remote Control
  • On the remote control, press a device key once (e.g., AUD, VCR, or TV). Press and hold SETUP until the selected mode key blinks twice, then release SETUP.
  • Enter the first four-digit code for your device. If performed correctly, the selected mode key will blink twice.
  • Aim the remote control at the device and press POWER once. The device should turn off. If it does not, repeat steps 2 through 3, trying each code for your brand until you find one that works.

 
Universal Electronics Oneforall "Intuitive"
  • Press and hold "setup" (Indication light should flash twice)
  • Press device key for device to be programmed
  • Enter 3 digit code
  • Press "device" key again
  • If it does not work repeat with next code

 
General Instruments XRC-100
  • Press and hold device to be programmed until the four mode indicator lights flash 2 times (twice)
  • Enter 3 digit code
  • Press "power"


**Hint: Four mode indicator lights = the four device keys at the top of the remote control Aux, VCR, Cable, TV< BR >

 
UR5-8400
  • Turn on the equipment you wish to program. (TV, VCR, DVD or AUX)
  • Press the [DEVICE] button (TV, VCR, DVD or AUX) to be programmed and {SELECT] button simultaneously for 3 seconds. The device LED will turn on indicating the unit is ready to be programmed. (The device LED will turn on for 20 seconds. The next step must be entered while the LED is on.)
  • Point the remote control toward the equipment and enter the three-digit code number assigned to your brand from the code tables. (The equipment will turn off when the correct three-digit code number has been entered. You can verify you have selected the correct code by pressing the [POWER] button, the equipment should turn on or turn off.
  • Store the three-digit code number by pressing the same [DEVICE] button once again. The device LED will blink twice to confirm that the code has been stored.

ENT-8000
  • Turn on the device
  • Press and hold the SELECT key and the appropriate mode key (AUX, VCR, TV, or CBL) until the mode key blinks twice
  • Press 9-9-1. The mode keys blink twice.
  • Point the remote toward the device and press play.
  • As soon as the device powers down press the SELCT key.
  • Verify that the new code is correct by pressing the POWER key.

 
AT-8400
  • Turn on the device
  • Press and hold the SELECT key and the appropriate mode key (AUX, VCR, TV, or CBL) until the mode key blinks twice
  • Press 9-9-1. The mode keys blink twice.
  • Point the remote toward the device and press play.
  • As soon as the device powers down press the SELCT key.
  • Verify that the new code is correct by pressing the POWER key.
