Bright House Networks To Debut New On Demand Channels
Three New Channels to Provide Hit Movies and Cultural Programs
(St. Petersburg, FL) – Bright House Networks is taking the next step in giving Tampa Bay customers more of the convenience they want- with new On Demand programming.
Starting Monday, October 30, 2006 Bright House Networks is launching three new On Demand channels. Free Movies On Demand, International Movies On Demand and Español On Demand will be added to the many On Demand channels already available for Bright House Networks Digital Cable customers in the Tampa Bay market.
“Bright House Networks customers are made up of many different cultures. These three new On Demand channels will provide our vast ethnic customer base with even more great features geared toward their preferences,” said Kevin Hyman, President of Bright House Networks Tampa Bay Division. “The channels will allow customers to watch what they want when they want it, while giving them the option of programming that speaks to their heritage.”
Free Movies On Demand, found on Bright House Networks channel 348, will provide Digital Cable customers with movie content at no additional charge from Sundance, NBC Universal and Turner Classic Movies.
Digital Cable customers can also enjoy Hispanic and cultural programs for just $3.95 per title, when they purchase box office hits and top grossing studio and International releases from Español On Demand and International Movies On Demand located on Bright House Networks channels 291 and 292.
Español On Demand will give Hispanic customers a great selection of movies from Spanish speaking countries around the world, as well as dubbed studio titles. International Movies On Demand will feature titles from places such as South Asia (Bollywood), China, Italy, France and many more. The shows will also be subtitled in English, so that anyone can enjoy the interesting and diverse programming.
The three new On Demand Channels will operate in the same manner as other Bright House Networks On Demand Channels. Digital Cable customers can scroll to the channel they want using the interactive guide, select which program they want to see, and order it using their digital remote. The show starts “on demand,” and customers are able to pause, rewind and fast-forward the programs, which are available for up to 24 hours. It’s TV on your terms, from Bright House Networks.
This effort is one more example of Bright House Networks commitment to our customers. It’s an effort recognized as J.D. Power and Associates ranked Bright House Networks earlier this year as having the “Highest in Customer Satisfaction Among Satellite/Cable TV Subscribers in the South Region,” and the “Highest Residential All-Distance Telephone Customer Satisfaction in the Southeast Region.”
